In this interview, we learn more about Philipp, who has just become our new technical compliance analyst.
However, this is third position since joining RAYLYTIC in 2020. And to say the least, he is thrilled by this development (and so are we!).

What are your role and responsibilities within the company?
I started at RAYLYTIC in 2020 as a Java-Backend-Developer. Since then, I’ve been working on several clinic integration projects with a particular focus on medical interoperability and developing software interfaces. As a team, we’re working on standardizing data from different medical information systems for use in clinical studies and in additional applications.
Beyond software development, I’m also involved in recruiting and onboarding new talents and make sure that our software development teams are working efficiently and can enjoy the process of developing outstanding products.

What were your reasons to join RAYLYTIC and to stay ever since?
Since I was already working in the medical technology sector and continue to feel very comfortable there, there were a lot of reasons to start working at RAYLYTIC.
At the same time I was also very interested in AI and was really excited to dive into a face-paced, ambitious software start-up, since I came from a middle-sized system house. I get to experience this every day. On top of that, my skills are both challenged and encouraged, and there is also a lot of room for creative freedom, if you want that. Plus I have a lot of great colleagues.
What are the career possibilities at RAYLYTIC and how has your personal career development been?
Since starting at RAYLYTIC, I’m currently moving into my third position. Each position has had a lot of variety in terms of my tasks and responsibilities. During my transition from software developer to people lead, I have experienced support every step of the way from HR, managers, and my coworkers. I am very thankful for this. In the future, I’m going to be focusing more on topics like IT-Security and Quality Management and Compliance of our products.
I consider it a great sign of appreciation that the idea for this development step and the associated training measures were actively brought to me by my manager. So I can confirm first-hand that the company offers you many opportunities for your own professional development. Even if you want to stay in the technical field, for example, and deepen your own knowledge or specialize, there are appropriate career paths for this. This also speaks in favor of RAYLYTIC, because it doesn’t always have to be a management role to show commitment, because it’s primarily our technical experts who make the difference.
