Should I contact you by telephone/email before my application?
Some older advice say that a telephone call in advance, the question whether the position is still available or a short “small talk” is useful for a positive assessment of the application. Of course, human factors also play an important role for us. Without your application, however, we cannot take any notes on your application and therefore cannot take positive or negative impressions into account. Our recommendation: Feel free to contact us by telephone or email AFTER you have carefully read the job description and sent your application – but only if you have specific questions, comments or corrections.
In which language should I apply?
In our offices in Germany the daily conversational language is German, whereby the majority of our documents are in English. Company-wide meetings and teleconferences are in English. Depending on your position, you should be fluent in at least one language and be able to understand English documents without any problems.
Some of our job descriptions are written in only one language or are automatically translated by the application management system. Please answer them in German or English according to your personal preference.
